The unexpected delivery of a new fridge this morning, resulted in Zarzi being left on the change table unattended for 10 mins...thankfully we've all made it to work in one piece...and the fridge is installed!

Had the ultimate juggle in our family last weekend which saw us nursing our sick 14 month old daughter, continuing some 'must-do-while-the-weather-is-ok' DIY renovating, having some family over for lunch, visiting and helping a parent just out of hospital, not to mention completing some uni homework. Total madness, but lots of fun at the same time! And of course, there was some eurovision watching too.

Time stood still today and had the chance to give my girls a complete breakfast before dashing out the door to drive them to school instead of the usual eating breakfast in the car. A few less crumbs and spills to deal with too!

  • Joanna Stuart

I love the idea behind this website. I had a lovely morning this morning with my boys. Enjoyed building lego with them and helped my 5 year old with his bike riding without training wheels and still got a healthly lunch prepared and all happy dressed and out the door :)

I got my 6yr olds to eat zucchini last night - even though they insisted it was cucumber!

  • Danni Pike

My children were playing really cooperatively for ages this afternoon. Lovely to see them being nice to each other!

  • Danielle Stewart

Last night, our boys came home starving from soccer training and ate homemade chicken curry for the first time. Training night is now 'try new food' night!

  • Glen Jeffreys

Isaac has discovered that he can throw! Unfortunately he's applying his new skill to a variety of objects, including bath toys and toothbrushes... :)

  • Helena Lillywhite

Managed to get 4 reluctant kids dresses and out the house this morning and all in time to get the eldest to school before morning bell!

  • Megan Keyes

It took less than half an hour to get my son to sleep last night - with minimal crying as a bonus. A major triumph!

  • Melissa Eastwood

Our Parent Group just celebrated our children's 3rd birthday on Sunday with a big party. We are a group of 12 children that still meets every week!

  • Karen Mason

We had a full-on day at the weekend digging up the concrete in our garden, ready for lawn. Our 9 and 5 year olds spent the day switching between helping put rubble in sacks and playing together really happily. A successful day!

I looked after my little one on the weekend so mummy could have a weekend away. Mummy had a relaxing time and I got myself a new bestie... at least until mummy came back....

My 4 year old wanted to hold his own biggest morning tea to help raise money for " sick people". We had made animal biscuits, his favourite, to sell at my work for the charity event but we also took 20 biscuits and set up camp on Marrickville road. He managed to raise $94 & 35 cents! Everyone was commenting on what a wonderful thing he was doing and he had a real sense of pride when we took the money in to my work to add the total. He wasn't the only one who felt proud!

Ah Success! Made the little man a new salmon pasta and most of it ended up in his belly and not on the floor! But where to from here...time to think about tomorrow nights menu? Any ideas anyone?

  • Jodie Mcleod Russell

After 2 long weeks of mountains of laundry from several accidents a day my son is pretty much potty trained! The 2 week mark of holding your ground and not putting a nappy back on no matter how frustrating has paid off. We are so close to becoming a nappy free home!

Our 3 year old recently had gastro for a week! We survived by having my husband sleep on a trundle bed in the living room and deal with the 3 year old during the night while I slept in our room looking after the 5 month old who was waking every two hours. Thankfully our household is now back to its normal routine with both kids sleeping better.

Two teenagers who have gotten through exams last week. Not 100% successfully, but the success is in their drive to improve the areas that need it for end of year exams. Not exactly my triumph, but I'm extremely proud of them all the same. <3

Have recently started meditating in my 4 year old's room each night as a response/solution to settling problems. It's definitely helping her be less fearful of 'monsters' and now she's falling asleep much quicker! Another plus is that I finally have a daily meditation routine! Everyone's a winner.

Managed to actually get Mister 2 in the car and strapped in without the usual screams and wrestles this morning and without screaming at dad and siblings all the way to childcare as well. Even got a beautiful hug and kiss! Ah, the power of distraction :)

  • Briony Bartlett

Just put my 8mth & 2yr old in their beds, left the rooms and listened to them both put themselves to sleep. It was magical <3

Avocado and bacon salad with rice of all things! Eaten entirely without prompting. Woot woot! It was so quick to make as well.

  • Sally Strang

I am so proud of my girls, yesterday they finished their homework really fast so that they could go play with the dolls, doll house, cars etc. They are 7 & 10 and I am truly grateful that they play so well together most of the time.

Oliver, my 5-year-old, answered the phone this morning with such confidence that the caller made a comment about what a lovely and polite boy he was. This made me proud enough, but when the caller continued by saying it was testament to good parenting that my son was that way... well, did that give me a boost! Also, the caller was an older man, and I find that men don't often give compliments in this regard, so the praise seemed genuine.

  • Kate Metz

Managed to visit and leave a toy shop without any tears! And the toys were all half price, bonus. It looks like it's going to be a lego afternoon...

  • Lucia Tomomi

Does cheese biscuit and coconut cookie counts as a food?

  • Michael Verhoef

Being a parent to twin toddlers I struggle to get one to eat and the other eats anything and everything... I found this recipe they and we actually liked. http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/4487/cheesy+tomato+risotto

Watched my 21 month old playing happily by himself this morning while I washed the dishes! I had a huge smile on my face as he built and re-built his "cubbyhouse", got his teddies to play in the cubbyhouse with him and chatted away! Just beautiful! Tried to capture some on video when I had finished, but he was onto me!

  • Catherine Sweeney

My daughter was able to go to the dentist for the first time without shivering, shaking and nearly being sick. She also got an A+ for her teeth by the dentist. Because she has been flossing every day for 6 months. I was so relieved and so proud of her I nearly burst into tears!

  • Greg Blampied

Had such a great weekend with my son. We went swimming together, played with his train set and had lots of awesome chats. It's the every-day moments - just hanging out with him and watching him grow into a little man - that really puts a smile on my face.

  • Emma Long Johns

I am pretty proud that I am sticking by my guns and co-sleeping but it can still be exhausting with my one year old waking up quite a bit at night for feeds while she teeths however last night she only woke up once and I woke up feeling better than ever!

  • Greg Blampied

Assembled Jamie's train set together. He worked out to join the tracks by himself. We played all the way up to bath time with lots of laughter and fun. Awesome, loved it!

  • Ruth Gordon

Today I survived a supermarket tantrum.

I cooked some meals and packaged them in individual serves to help my daughter who's the mother of two scrumptious llittle boys (Joseph 6 and Oliver 3), working full time as a first year teacher and she's on her own.

  • Ilana Olstein

Went to in-laws in metung for long weekend. Long drive of 5-6 hours with stops. Was not sure how jamie, our 2 year old would go. But he was amazing - did not complain once and chatted and sang all the way. He was just a pleasure !

  • Philippa Stanford

After telling my four year old son that I'd had a very bad day I asked him to let me sit quietly for five minutes before I got him food and played. He responded by saying, "I know. I can get my own drink and feed the cats. I can do my own jobs."

  • Kelli Martin

I roleplayed with my son the breakup of him and his girlfriend..... He is 11yrs old. Lol

  • Jessica Ford

  • Tam Wray

I am truly blessed to have 4 beautiful children - 6 yo twins, a 5 yo & a 2 1/2 yo! Of course there are plenty of trying times but the good outway the bad & I would have it no other way! The way my 4 play together is truly amazing, they do actually love each other - and yes it's not always that way....we have had our moments - having twins then another 15mths later then also diagnosed with Autism then our 4th, but would I do anything different, even with the Autism - NO! What makes my kiddies them is them is truly amazing and their enjoyment of sitting at their desk together coloring in their books sharing from the one texta container is truly priceless and a gentle reminder of why they are a part of my life!

  • Aristotle Mateo

So happy today, seeing my children and their Dad playing at the park...for the first time in two months.
